ABOUT

The Local Government Communication Professionals Network

About US

Recognising that communicating in a local government context is different from other tiers of government, the network began in 2016 as a way for council communicators to stay up to date with best practices and learn from each other. It now has more than 1100 members from councils across Australia, New Zealand and beyond.

The network has delivered more than 150 free professional development webinars and stages an annual Summit specifically for council communication professionals.

The network’s Facebook group is free to join for anyone employed by a council and working in a communication-related role.

The Network is convened by Dr. Neryl East, who offers training, coaching and strategy development for local government leaders.
